Mintage
Business strikes: 9,669,309
Proof strikes: 755
Varieties: One RPD:
101 RPD. Clearest inside upper loop of 9 and 0. (photo)
Scarcity: A better date in AU and above, but common in lower grades because of its high mintage. There are only 6 gems certified (PCGS/NGC combined) — a very low number for a Philadelphia coin.
Rarity Ratings: G/VG R1; F/VF R1; EF R1; AU R2; MS R3.
Ranking: Business strikes - 70th in mintage, 33rd (tied) in certified population (67 coins). 3rd in 3 MS63 PI, 1st in Gem PI.
Proofs — 15th in mintage and 19th in certified population (253 coins).
Comments: Comes with a decent strike and nice luster. Like the dime and half of this date, it is very hard to find in AU55 and above. With some of the lowest price indexes in the series, this date is greatly undervalued in all mint state grades.
