Auction #971 Posted. Browse & Bid on Lots Today!
Our Sunday Internet Auction #971 is now live with a great selection of over 300 fresh, new coins, 50 No Reserve lots and 35 Vault Value items. All lots will begin closing at 8pm EST on Sunday, July 30th. Some of the more interesting highlights from this week's sale include:
This week's first highlight selection is a 1901-S 25c PCGS MS63. he 1901-S quarter is by far the most famous key date in the Barber quarter series. It's so popular as a date that this issue transcends the series and key date collectors seek this coin out. Surprisingly scarce in MS63 grades, we find it to be one of the most popular grades for this scarce issue. 95% white.
Our second highlight selection is a C.Bechtler G$1 PCGS/CAC MS61 (30GR). Perfectly centered and well-struck, this example is an unusually attractive and lustrous piece with outstanding eye appeal. Mint stated examples are seldom encountered. The Bechtler family produced many pieces during the gold rush in North Carolina in the 1830s and 1840s before the Charlotte mint was established and this piece is one of the finest from their popular issues that we've offered.
This week's final highlight selection is a 1914 25c NGC/CAC Proof 68. Beautiful superb gem proof. The 1914 proof Barber quarter is the lowest mintage issue in the series. Just 380 coins struck of this issue.
Of course there are many other highlights, so be sure to browse all lots in this exciting new sale before it closes on Sunday, July 30th.
Thanks for browsing our inventory and participating in our auction!
Sincerely,
The David Lawrence Numismatic Team
