Coins We Love - August 16

We’re coming to you live and in color (or patina?) from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, home of this year’s World’s Fair of Money. We’ve already had an incredibly busy week so far, and we’ve barely had a moment to come up for air. Thankfully, we’ve had a loyal crew holding down the fort at the office, with various appearances by different DLRC team members at the show across the week. Overall, it’s been a great week, and we’d be happy to report more next week when we’ve had a chance to review the happenings once we are back in the office.

Sincerely,
John Brush and Your Friends at DLRC

Note from our Numismatic Novice

Quick show update from the one employee who went to the show and has returned to the office already! Having come into Norfolk International Airport at 11pm last night due to a delayed flight, I'm still a bit tired as I can assume all of our show-goers will be when they return this weekend. I flew out to Philadelphia Sunday evening so that I could be ready to go for PNG Day of the World's Fair of Money on Monday, and then the ANA opened to the public on Tuesday! It was a lot of the same and still very different from my experience at the Summer Baltimore Show. JB was still quite sought after, although I had not seen the power of ANA President Gary Adkins in action on the floor up until this show. It was like knowing a celebrity of the coin world, and I saw Gary get stopped more than once by someone who wanted to take a picture with him.

I'll be writing more on this later, but I wanted to update everyone that I've gone to my second coin show (and my first ANA show) and enjoyed it a lot!
