Coins We Love: Baltimore Again

Baltimore; kind of feels like Groundhog Day. They do a great job running this show and it’s always a consistent winner when it comes to attendance, business, and activity. Looking back at 20 years of attending Baltimore Shows I realized this week that I surpassed having spent an entire year of my life in this city. So, I guess it’s kind of a home away from home for me. The city leaves a bit to be desired, but such is the nature of downtown areas in big cities these days. Thankfully, it’s a place we know quite well and by utilizing security services and lock-ups, once the coins arrive, they are safe and sound. The Harbor area used to have a mall that is attempting redevelopment, but I’m not sure what the timeframe will be for that project. Once it happens, and with the addition of some restaurants, hopefully it'll create a slightly more lively situation for the city.

But, since I’m not a travel writer, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the show has been a productive one. We’ve been actively buying since Tuesday morning and have run into a few deals, but the general purchasing has been a lot of smaller quantity invoices when it comes to the number of coins. That’s okay, though, as we’ll keep moving forward, trying to make things happen over the last two days that we’re here. Surprisingly, sales have been active so far, so there are absolutely no complaints there. We’ll keep plugging away for the next two days and hopefully there’ll be more to report home on next week! As for now, we’ll leave you with a few highlights from the website and this week's auction. We hope you’ll enjoy a few of these pieces and we’ll have a reason to talk over the next week. As always, if there’s anything we can do to assist you, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We’d be happy to work with you in any way, shape, or form!

Numismatically Yours,

John Brush
