Coins We Love: Finally Recovered, But Still Busy!

It feels a little ridiculous to say 2 weeks later that we’ve just now recovered from the ANA show, but I have to admit it’s the truth. The Labor Day weekend came in handy, and the wife’s insistence on staying home and regrouping was wise counsel (though not accepted well by the writer).
As you’ll notice, we’re not attending the IMEX show in Nashville this week. It pains me because I love Nashville and REALLY wanted to go, but hitting the road 2 weeks after the ANA show just was too soon. That used to be the issue with the Long Beach show in the Fall, as we need a chance to catch up in the office…alas, that event is no more. I do hope that Nashville succeeds and that the show is moved back 2 weeks in the future.
As for our future show calendar, we will be attending a number of more regional events in the Fall, like the PAN Show (Pittsburgh Suburb), the SCNA Show (Greenville, SC), the PCGS Member’s Only Shows (Irvine, CA and Las Vegas), and the Fall Baltimore show. There are no more major events on the overall calendar, so we load up the calendar with smaller events! We’ll be traveling to other locales as well to visit customers, so if you’re looking to auction or sell your collection and a trip is necessary, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’ll be in Salt Lake City, Chicago, Des Moines, Knoxville, Atlanta, Colorado Springs, and probably a few other places, so unless you’re in the Virgin Islands or Hawaii, we’ll be in your neighborhood at some point this fall. Of course, if you’re in one of the tropical locations, that won’t take much convincing for a trip! I’ve already had 3 DLRC employees volunteer to go to the Honolulu Coin Show in a few months! So, seriously, let us know.
Other happenings here in the office include a fantastic run of collections in our upcoming Red Carpet Rarities Sales. It’s truly a selection for collectors, and we hope that you enjoy these highlight sales sprinkled around our regular weekly events.

As the show circuit calms down, we also have opportunities to work on some long term internal projects here in the office and some of these occurrences will be announced closer to the new year, but I’ll suffice it to say that we’re always looking for ways to grow the business and our hobby and we’re excited to see those ideas start to bear fruit over the next few months. If you have ideas for education, questions we can run in the CWL, or any feedback you’d like to give, don’t hesitate to just hit “reply”! We love hearing from everyone, and it’s what keeps fueling us here in our little numismatic realm! Thanks for reading, and please enjoy this week’s Coins We Love!
Numismatically Yours,
John Brush
P.S.: You will start to see some short videos popping up on individual coin pages in the coming days/weeks. This will give you a better idea of what the coin looks like in hand! If you have a coin that you would like to see a video for, let us know!
Also, JF uploaded a video of his cat (Bungus) onto one of the coins… but we don’t know which one it was. The first CWL reader to find it and email us about it will get a free CACG sample slab!
