Coins We Love: New Year, New Adventures
Well, we started off 2021 with a bang, literally and figuratively. The fireworks outside were tempered for the year, but it was a nice reminder that every 365 days we get a fresh start. Although we continue to face some of the limitations last year brought, we're beginning to see the light of hope at the end of the tunnel. Like everyone, DLRC is continuing to move forward and our office kicked off 2021 with an active week!
We had some software upgrades that took us down for a short period of time, and the changes in-house certainly kept us busy for a few days. Things are back to normal now with a few upgrades internally which we’re thrilled to see. We also started catching up with our holiday shipping delay. While the USPS and Fedex are still not back to optimal performance, it’s much better and we’ll be caught up with shipments by the time you read this email.
Another special office occurrence this week is something that we’ll be announcing formally on Friday. Our auction ending January 31st is going to be a really exciting event, dubbed the Super Sunday Sale! We’ll be offering more duplicates from the D.L. Hansen Collection as well as a huge variety of better date gold coins. Among the gold offerings, there will be some really cool highlights including several finest known pieces and true grade rarities that are absolutely fresh to the market. Stay tuned for more details coming to your inbox soon! In the meantime, we hope that you find a few pieces of interest in our highlights below.
Lastly, if you haven’t had a chance to speak with Mary before her upcoming retirement, you’ve got another week to buy something and arrange your payment terms with her. Don’t miss this final opportunity to speak with our favorite Scot go to waste!
Thanks again for keeping up with us at DLRC and we wish each one of you a wonderful rest of the week.
Numismatically Yours,
John Brush and Your Friends at DLRC
