DLRC's Peachtree Collection of DMPL and Proof Morgan Dollars Auction Results over $600,000

The David Lawrence Rare Coins Sunday Internet Auction #952, featuring the Peachtree Collection of DMPL and Proof Morgan Dollars, concluded last night with impressive results. 173 lots sold for a staggering realized of over $600,000! There were many highlights from the sale that included an 1895 $1 PCGS Proof 67 Deep Cameo which realized $146,500 and a 1776 Continental Dollar $1 PCGS XF40 which realized $44,000.
Other highlights from the DMPL portion of the collection included record-breaking results for an 1885 $1 NGC MS67 DMPL that brought $9,250, and an 1898-S $1 PCGS MS65 DMPL that garnered $13,000. The Proof Morgans continued to bring impressive numbers in the auction that ended Sunday evening. An extremely scarce 1878 7TF Reverse of 1878 PCGS Proof 65 Cameo changed hands for $30,000. Several other high-end issues, including an 1899 and a 1904 $1, both graded by NGC as Proof 68 found new homes. As Jason Smith, Vice President of DLRC mentioned, “Being able to offer so many registry quality Proof Morgan Dollars in one sale was truly an exciting event for us and collectors nationwide.
