Our Sunday Internet Auction #936 now live with a great selection of 340 fresh, new coins, including 105 colorful selections from the Riviera Toned Dollar Collection, Part 4. This week's auction also contains 26 Vault Value items and 75 special, No Reserve lots. All lots will begin closing at 8pm EST on Sunday November 27th.

Some of the more interesting highlights from this week's sale include:

This week's highlight selection is a 1776 Continental Dollar $1 PCGS/CAC MS63 (CURRENCY, Pewter). A fascinating issue as the origin of these issues is not clear, except that it was likely rooted in the desire of the Continental Congress to issue a monetary medium of exchange. Issued in 1776, most of these examples were made of pewter as silver was not affordable to the fledgling government. Likely struck in three different cities, New York City, Philadelphia, and/or Lancaster, PA these are very popular issues due to their association with the Revolutionary War. This piece is fresh to the market with a phenomenal strike and detail that is second to none. Two former PCGS graders even suggested cracking it out for a MS64 grade as it was the nicest that they had ever seen. We liked the coin in its current holder and hope that its next owner will appreciate it as well. It is truly a numismatic rarity that is very rare in such nice condition.
Of course there are many other highlights, so be sure to browse all lots in this exciting new sale before it closes on Sunday, November 27th.
