From New Streams to New Stops, Here's What's Ahead!

I’ve never fashioned myself as a “writer”. Just ask my high school English teacher. And John Fatigate, who typically edits our CWL emails…but somehow I’ve survived a world where comma splices aren’t deadly and we’ve backed ourselves into a corner where if the CWL emails don’t go out, our customers let us know! And for that, we are very thankful. But some weeks the messages don’t flow as well as others! Which brings us to this week…

We’ve had a very active last week or so and the next 3-4 weeks are already looking even busier. So, the whirlwind of thoughts going through my head may not come out too coherently, but hopefully the antics and busy-ness makes us smile just a little bit…

We enjoyed an annual visit from our programming team last week to outline our coming improvements to DLRC’s website and backend software. While our heads were literally swamped with ideas and improvements, it’s an exhausting process to discuss some of these topics, but I have to say that by the end of the week we walk out excited about the future. It has been a VERY difficult road to get where we are, but we’re thrilled that we can now spend time on making things better for the collector experience and to increase what we’re able to offer at DLRC!
As the week concluded the Tidewater Coin Club hosted one of their two annual shows in Virginia Beach and while it’s not as busy as some of the regional shows we attend, the collector attendance overall was quite positive!  And the best part? We got to go home and sleep in our beds at night!

This week we hosted our first WhatNot shows as well. Wednesday night’s inaugural event was full of energy and a lot of fun! If you missed the inaugural event, there’s another chance on Friday to join us! So if you’re looking for some numismatic entertainment, don’t miss out! Next week our team is divided up with multiple coin shows, so it looks like it might be a partial father/son team on Wednesday night. We’ll certainly try the ManningCast approach and see if we can get some special DLRC-style guests to join us as well.

So, next week…Jack and Max will be attending the PAN Show…we won’t have a table and the guys will be roaming the floor, but if you have a consignment to drop off or are looking to sell a few coins, shoot us an email and we’ll have Jack reach out to you. And Eli will be attending the Philadelphia PCGS Invitational event. Eli is new to the team, but is one of our lead buyers and can certainly handle whatever you want to throw at him. So, take your shot! We’ll be set up there Tuesday-Friday and would love to see you or pick up a consignment from you there.

The following week is a week “off” but I’ll be out of town with John F visiting our partner, photographing some coins, followed by the Whitman Baltimore Extravaganza. The November event is their keystone show, so we hope to see you there. And of course we’ll be setup near the front somewhere (they seem to like moving us around these days), so we’d love to see you there!
