Coins We Love: šøThe Deals Keep Comingšø
The response to last weekās message was surprising, yet refreshing. Collecting coins is something weāre passionate about and also something we get to enjoy on a daily basis. The stories of collectors and how we can relate to each other are always fun to hear. The number of folks who told us that they understood how the collector we mentioned last week felt was shocking. While itās such a passionate and personal pursuit, we often donāt get to share it with others as much as weād like. So, hereās to all of the collectors out there that saw a little bit of themselves in the collection we mentioned last week.
Interestingly, the collection resulted in a number of phone calls from similarly-placed collectors! If thatās you, please donāt hesitate to call or email. We donāt āNEEDā to buy your collection now, but if you want to talk about it and see what your options are, weāre here to help. Whether the time is now or 25 years down the road, we want to work with you.
What do we have to look forward to this week? At DLRC, itās none of the fun stuff right now. We are in the process of closing down our accounting for the year and doing our annual overall coin inventory. Thankfully these processes have gone smoothly so far, but I have to admit it makes me want to call in āsickā for a few days. š
Instead of calling in, I hit the road and picked up a pair of really interesting collections that youāll see posted in the next several weeks. A full PCGS Registry Set of Morgan and Peace Dollars will be the anchors for a few of our January auctions. If youāre a dollar collector, you might want to reach out to us for a list in advance! If not, we hope that youāll find something else in our highlights this week.
As for now Iāll bid adieu and will do my best to stay out of trouble with our inventory department!
Happy Holidays to each and every one of you!
Numismatically Yours,
John Brush
