May Grading Contest at DLRC featuring CACG
Thanks again to all our participants last month, we hope to have returning contestants trying their eye on this month's group and many newcomers!
The twist this month is ALL 12 coins are graded by CACG! Find below obverse and reverse images of 12 CACG certified coins, a mix of types, grades, business strikes, and proofs. Note: there will be no details-graded or altered coins. Use the template at the bottom of this post to submit your guesses by emailing Julia.smith@davidlawrence.com. Participants will earn two points for grading a coin correctly, one point for being within one grade on the Sheldon Scale, and a half point for being within two grades.
At the end of the month we will post the actual grades of each coin and shoutout the top 5 participants (one entry allowed per email address). The winner will receive a $100 grading credit courtesy of CAC Grading, as well as a brand new DLRC loupe and lanyard!
Check out CAC's Grading Standards on their website here, they provide a great resource with photos and a summary of CAC's application of the Sheldon scale.
We hope you enjoy the challenge and come back for future monthly contests.
Best of luck!
