Numismatic Masters Auction #1 Live! Bid Today!
We are very excited to kick off the inaugural auction of our Numismatic Masters Series. These online events will have extended browsing time, be available for lot viewing at a major show, offer an extended 90-day layaway option, and feature some of the rarest and highest quality pieces available!
This first auction features over 300 unique selections from the D. L. Hansen Collection. Dell Loy Hansen, the premier collector of our time, has set lofty goals in his quest of acquiring one of the most important and complete U.S. coin collections in private hands, rivaling Louis Eliasberg. Along the way he has upgraded many incredible coins as well as acquired coins that did not fit into his overall collecting goals. As a result, we will be offering many of those pieces in our upcoming Numismatic Masters Series Auctions. In Part 1, there are numerous highlights, many of which are listed below. Even if some of the highlights are not within your budget, there are a number of affordable pieces so that you too can participate in this ground-breaking auction!
Select lots will be available for viewing at the Whitman Baltimore Coin Show, March 22nd-24th at table #540 and also by appointment in our office in Virginia Beach.
All lots in our Sunday Internet Auction #1006 will begin closing at 8pm EST on Sunday, April 1st.

Our first highlight is an 1827 $5 PCGS MS63. This scarce date Capped Bust Half Eagle displays incredibly lustrous, lightly toned surfaces with very limited blemishes. It comes from a very low original mintage of just 24,913 coins struck, in which there are only two examples graded finer by PCGS.
This auction's second highlight is an 1876 $3 NGC Proof 66+ UCAM ex: Simpson. This extreme rarity displays pristine ultra-cameo surfaces with stunning eye appeal. From an incredibly small mintage of just 45 coins struck, only one example has been graded finer across all grading services than this immaculate gem.
Our third highlight is an 1876-S $20 NGC MS65. Very scarce high-grade Liberty Head Double Eagle with incredible amounts of gorgeous luster and beautiful, vibrant original coloring. This example is tied for the finest known in existence across all grading services.
Of course there are many other highlights, so be sure to browse all lots in this exciting new sale before it closes on Sunday, April 1st.
